Nancy McGovern received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Florida State University after completing high school at Florida School of the Arts. She was affiliated with several dance companies in Florida including the FSU Dance Touring Theatre.  Nancy moved to the Greater Washington area in 1985 to intern at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts with the Alliance for Arts Education. She has performed with many local dance companies including Classical Ballet Theatre, American Contemporary Ballet Company, Ballet Center Productions and Arlington Dance Theatre. She has also performed with a number of local theater companies and as a member of Screen Actors Guild, continues to act in commercials, industrials and films.
Nancy spent three years as the District Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and has been Owner/Director of Dance To You since November 1991. In 2017, Nancy became a certified yoga teacher and began to add yoga and mindfulness to the Kids ‘N Motion curriculum. In July of 2018, Dance To You was renamed “Corner of the Sky.”
