This presentation educates parents on the causes and manifestations of school anxiety, avoidance, and refusal; reviews evidence-based practices to increase school attendance for anxious students; and introduces LCPS’s tiered intervention program for collaborating with families to support school-avoiding students. Parents will receive resources for further education and guidance.
